EFT Couples Workshops

Create a more loving and secure connection!

Do you want an experience that can really improve your relationship?

In the last half century research about attachments in relationships has exploded, leading to advanced knowledge and a revolutionary way to help couples improve their relationship and maintain the changes.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is the most empirically supported relationship model developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. Research studies indicate that through the use of EFT, 70 -75% of couples recover from distress and 90% show significant improvements. The Hold Me Tight workshop two day retreat for couples based on EFT, as it is outlined in Johnson’s book, Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love.

This educational and experiential workshop teaches you the core concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, which has demonstrated its effectiveness in over 25 years of peer-reviewed clinical research. The workshop helps you and your partner form deeper connections, repair past hurts, and increase opportunities for emotional, physical and sexual intimacy.

In addition to practicing new ways of communicating emotionally with your partner, you will see video examples of other couples and how they learned to improve their communication and strengthen their relationship.

Over the course of two days you will learn how to:

  • Explore, understand, and CHANGE the communication patterns that leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from your partner.
  • Enhance your connection with your partner and feel closer to each other.
  • Improve your understanding of one another.
  • Increase happiness and intimacy in your relationship.

While sharing comments and questions in the large group is usually fun and beneficial, you only share if you want to. You will have lots of time to have conversations with just you and your partner so you can feel comfortable and maintain your privacy.

  • All couples are welcome in this couples workshop regardless of marital status, age, faith or sexual orientation.
  • This is an educational workshop and supports therapy nicely but does not replace it if your relationship is in high distress.

Zoya and Mike often present together and enjoy creating a safe, fun, meaningful experience where we’ll encourage you to go as deep as is comfortable… “Stretch – don’t strain” is our motto here.

The two day retreat is led by
Michael Moran, LCSW & Zoya Simakhodskaya, Ph.D.
